    The Prince of Eastern Province honors "Logistical Integration Forum 2024"

    His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Eastern Province, will honor today, Monday, April 29, 2024, the Logistics Integration Forum 2024 organized by the Asharqia Chamber under his patronage. The forum will be attended by His Excellency Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, at 9:00 AM at the Chamber's headquarters.

     

    Badr bin Suleiman Al-Ruzaiza, the Chairman of the Chamber's Board of Directors, expressed gratitude for the patronage of His Royal Highness the Governor of the Region for the forum, affirming that his patronage represents a significant incentive for the Chamber to continue implementing its activities and events to serve the business sector in the region.

     

    Al-Ruzaiza stated that Minister Al-Jasser will participate as a key speaker in the main session of the forum, titled "The Role of Government Entities in Achieving Logistic Integration." The forum will discuss investment opportunities in logistics and economic regions, as well as address the challenges facing logistics areas and ways to address them with relevant authorities. The forum aims to enhance logistical integration by unifying the efforts of relevant government entities with the private sector and improving infrastructure efficiency in line with the developments and growth of the logistics sector. It also aims to highlight available investment opportunities in the logistics sector.

     

    He emphasized that the logistics sector is an important pillar of the national economy and the main driver of economic development. Countries are working to develop and expand logistical activities through various means to support logistical movements, develop projects, and ensure their sustainability. He urged all public and private entities to integrate in order to achieve the objectives of the logistics sector in Vision 2023 and consequently enhance sector growth.

     

    Meanwhile, Rakan bin Abdulrahman Al-Otaishan, the Chairman of the Chamber's Logistics Committee, stated that the forum, attended by officials, experts, and specialists, provides an opportunity to exchange knowledge, experiences, and ideas regarding logistical operations and supply chain management. It serves as a platform for communication between experts and professionals in the field and officials responsible for developing the logistics sector to review innovations, identify best practices, and solutions in the sector.

     

    The first session of the forum, titled "Logistics Regions in the Eastern Province and Major Challenges with Relevant Authorities," will be attended by His Excellency the Secretary of the Eastern Province, Engineer Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Jubeir, and the Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Acting President of the General Authority for Transport, His Excellency Dr. Rami bin Mohammed Al-Ramihi, along with the CEO of the Eastern Province Development Authority, Engineer Omar bin Saleh Al-Abdullatif, moderated by Fawaz bin Khalid Al-Bawardi.

     

    In the second session, titled "Investment Opportunities in Logistics and Economic Regions," the Deputy CEO for Strategic Planning of the Saudi Railway Company "SAR," Engineer Tariq bin Abdullah Al-Aqeel, will speak along with the Director General of the Investment Development Administration in Jubail - Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Engineer Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Zahrani, and the Director of Strategic Planning Administration - Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, Abdulmohsen bin Salem Al-Salem, moderated by Adel bin Ali Al-Tamimi.

     

    Al-Otaishan highlighted that the forum will showcase all the relative advantages of the Eastern Province, being the capital of oil and gas and strategically located among Gulf countries. It hosts several primary and secondary petrochemical industrial complexes, in addition to industrial cities in Dammam, Jubail, Khafji, and Ras Al-Khair. Its position has been strengthened in supporting the Kingdom's Vision projects aspiring to be a global logistics platform.
